Gyoza is one of Japan’s most beloved comfort foods. These savory dumplings are filled with juicy pork and vegetables, wrapped in delicate dough, and pan-fried until crispy on the bottom while staying soft and tender on top. They’re a favorite both at home and in restaurants across the country.​

In this class, we’ll make gyoza completely from scratch — kneading and rolling the dough, preparing the flavorful filling, carefully folding each dumpling, and pan-frying them to perfection. By the end, you’ll not only enjoy your handmade gyoza but also have the skills to recreate this Japanese favorite in your own kitchen.

​What You Will Do

The experience begins with a visit to a local supermarket to explore the ingredients behind gyoza. Then, at Patia’s modern kitchen studio in central Tokyo, you’ll make gyoza from scratch with step-by-step guidance. Finally, enjoy your handmade dumplings along with side dishes — a delicious way to experience Japanese food culture and bring home a skill to share.

Note:

  • The meeting point will be at one of Patia’s kitchen studios, located in Shinjuku, Chiyoda, or Minato wards. All studios are within a 5-minute walk from the nearest station. The exact location will be confirmed and shared with you three days before your reserved date.

  • A minimum of 2 people is required per reservation.
